In 1950 the firm of Bert H. Allison & Co. was founded in East St. Louis, Illinois. The firm took over the practice of William A. Hitchcock and relocated to our present location, at Copper Bend Centre in Belleville, Illinois, in 1981. The 1990’s brought more changes - the firm’s name was changed to Allison Knapp & Siekmann, Ltd. and, in 1996, we expanded our practice to Bethalto, Illinois by taking over the practice of Davison & Co.

The firm’s personnel consists of five partners, additional professional staff of six (two of whom are CPA’s) and four clerical employees. We are members of the American Institute of CPA’s, the Illinois and Missouri Societies of CPA’s, the Government Finance Officers Association, the Association of Government Accountants and we are licensed in Illinois and Missouri. In addition, we are enrolled in the AICPA peer review program.

All partners and professional staff are required to maintain a minimum number of continuing profes­sional education hours to maintain certification. Our firm participates in weekly staff training, as well as attends special programs.

Our firm is dedicated to providing quality services in the following areas: auditing, tax, accounting, MAS and qualified plan services. We provide these services for a wide range of profit, nonprofit and governmental clients.
